The Choir

The choir plays a big part of the Sunday worship. They practice every Thursday night for almost two hours. They will learn a new song and each person in the choir will have to write out by hand the words to the song. They do not use a music score. Fredrick, the director has a great talent for music. They sing in four-part harmony. I practiced with them one evening and it was a work out. I am a part of the music team back at St. John and our practices were never this intense! The songs are sung in English and Luo. They will sing a song all the way through about 4 times.

The choir will go on the road when the bishop visits other churches. They cram themselves in the back of the truck. They lead the people into a true worship of the Lord.
By the way the robes are polyester.
